Celebrating Local Wedding Suppliers at Swanley Meadows | Cheshire Weddings 2025

A little look back at some of the brilliant local (I’m talking 15 mins max!) suppliers that I’ve loved working with this year - from beautiful homegrown blooms to incredible food, music, styling and creativity that’s made each Swanley wedding so special.

‍

Florists

• Grown & Made – Beautiful, seasonal flowers grown just a few fields away, right here in Cheshire. A flower farmer and floral artist who bring a natural, just-picked feel to every unique and creative arrangement.
• Peony Rose – A fellow farm girl, who has incredible talent. Down-to-earth, unassuming, but totally gifted at creating stunning floral designs.

Photography, videography & content creation

• ‍Hannah Kennedy Films - Capturing every emotion in a relaxed yet cinematic style. Hannah and her family are based in Congleton and only ever a stone’s throw away. I’ve met her little ones a few times at Swanley now - and honestly, isn’t that what it’s all about?
• Love Stories Live – Real-time wedding coverage that brings your day to life forever.
• Frank Henshall – Beautiful, timeless photography that tells your story. Fun fact - we actually have photos by Frank dotted around my parents’ house from when me and my siblings were in primary school (and again as teens!).

Ceremonies & coordination

• Seraphina Weddings – Wedding planner extraordinaire. She helps you pull every detail of your together seamlessly, leaving you with even less to do!
• Your Ceremony (Cheshire East Registrars) – Professional, heartfelt legal ceremonies for every couple. Not your “standard” registrars - their warmth and personality shine through every word.
• Toast Celebrant – Sally brings sunshine and calm to every ceremony - lifting joy into every space she walks into.

Cakes & catering

• Oak & Sage – Open-fire cooking at its most creative and soulful. A total feast for the senses and the perfect fit for outdoor, relaxed countryside weddings. A real treat to have these guys just a stone’s throw away.
• Reubens – American-style BBQ (think ridiculous burgers!!!) from a family-run restaurant in Congleton. Nina, one of the family who runs it, was actually a school friend -funny how things come full circle! They also offer beautiful local accommodation.
• Cakes by Bethany – Bespoke cakes that wow guests. Beth and I go way back to school and A-level biology - and seeing her work her baking magic now is just brilliant.

Music & entertainment

• The Voice Box – Gemma’s talent is ridiculous. When she’s not wowing in the West End, she’s filling spaces with the most incredible live sound - Macclesfield-based and pure energy on and off their horsebox stage.
• Cheshire Lawn Games – Such a fun addition to the day. New on the scene like us, but already such a natural fit for Swanley - playful, relaxed and full of personality.

Bridal styling

• Glorious by Heidi – Handcrafted accessories designed and made just down the road in Macclesfield - timeless, elegant, and full of personality.
• Wildflower Hair Co – Relaxed, effortless hair styling that ties perfectly into countryside celebrations.
• Luna and Wild - Handcrafted dried flower crowns, accessories and bouquets, created just a mile or so down the road.
• Swan Brides – Congleton’s only bridal boutique! Their gowns and accessories help every bride feel confident and radiant on her day.

Behind the scenes: styling & tipi magic

• Tink – Draping and styling from Macclesfield. You might also spot Helen on-site with Florence & Vera keeping everything running smoothly - she’s an absolute star.
• Kudu Events – Our go-to for optional stretch tents for ceremonies or just extrashelter. Marc was also one of the grafters helping pop up our tipis in May!
• Lightech – Supplying all our power and lighting, and only 200m around the corner. Keeping things bright (literally!) for every event.

Accommodation

• Far Whittles Farm Lodge – So close you could walk it (not recommended), with cosy countryside stays.
• Yew Tree Farm Cottages – Characterful accommodation with all the charm you’d expect from a Cheshire retreat.

Working with local suppliers has been one of the biggest joys of this year. From people I’ve known for years to new faces who feel like family already, it’s been a privilege to see everyone’s craft, energy, and kindness in action.

And sure, not every supplier or partner we’ve worked with this year is quite so close to home - but sometimes you just click with people who feel like home. “Far” for us usually just means 45 minutes down the road, and we’re endlessly grateful for every wonderful creative who brings their magic to Swanley Meadows. This list just scratches the surface - there are so many more talented, close-knit suppliers who make every Swanley Meadows wedding extraordinary.
