From dairy farm to wedding venue

Long before there were tipis and wedding ceremonies, Swanley was a working dairy farm.

Our family bought the farm in 1958, and for decades it was home to Holstein Friesian cows, fields of maize and barley, and generations of family farming. While the farm has evolved over the years, many of the things that made it special remain unchanged - the open countryside, the sense of space, and the feeling of being connected to the land.

Today, we're proud to share it with couples as they begin a new chapter of their own.

A place for nature

Looking after the land has always been part of life on the farm. Alongside the weddings, we're passionate about creating spaces where wildlife can thrive.

Wildflower meadows, newly planted trees, ponds and habitat boxes all play their part in supporting the many species that call the farm home. Keep your eyes open and you may spot deer in the fields, red kites overhead, owls at dusk or hares darting through the grass.

It's a constant reminder of how lucky we are to care for this little corner of Cheshire.

A family affair

Although Swanley Meadows is now also a wedding venue, at its heart it's still a family farm.

From maintaining the grounds and caring for the land to welcoming couples for viewings and helping wedding days run smoothly, Swanley remains very much a family effort. We genuinely love sharing this place with others and feel incredibly privileged to play a small part in so many celebrations.
