Frequently asked questions

To ensure your event is enjoyable in any weather, we provide weatherproofing and durable Dandy Dura flooring. Our tipis are built to handle various weather conditions, keeping your guests warm and dry. For added flexibility, we’ve capped the maximum number of guests for a seated meal at 150. This allows ample space for the ceremony to take place inside the tipi if weather conditions require it.

We’d be delighted to give you a tour of our venue! Please note that the tipis will be available from May to September starting in 2025. If you'd like to visit outside of these months, we’d still love to show you around; just be prepared to use your imagination to envision the tipis in all their splendour. Please get in touch to book a viewing.

Yes, Swanley Meadows is fully registered for civil marriage ceremonies both inside the tipis and outdoors. This means you can celebrate your legal marriage right here at our beautiful venue, whether you choose the elegance of the tipi or the charm of our outdoor space.

Absolutely! We welcome external vendors and encourage you to discuss your choices with us. This ensures that everyone is well-prepared for outdoor events and that all details align seamlessly for a flawless experience.

We provide a fully stocked bar with a range of drinks packages to suit your event needs. If you prefer to bring your own alcohol, we kindly ask that it be limited to reception drinks and the meal only.

To comply with local regulations, we ask that music concludes by midnight, and non-camping guests depart the site by 12:30 a.m. We also kindly request that all guests be mindful of our neighbours by keeping noise to a minimum when leaving the venue.

We understand that setting up for your event can be a big task, and we strive to accommodate your needs. Depending on our schedule and availability, it may be possible to arrange setup the day before your event.

Please contact us in advance to discuss your specific requirements and to confirm the arrangements. We’re here to help make your preparations as smooth as possible!

We understand that furry friends are part of the family. While dogs are not allowed in the bell tents or camping area, we do allow a maximum of two well-behaved dogs to join you on your special day. We kindly ask that other guests leave their pets at home. Please contact us for more details on accommodating your dog.

Yes, we’re happy to welcome the use of natural confetti, like petals or leaves, as it beautifully complements our rural surroundings. While biodegradable tissue confetti is an option, we kindly ask that it isn’t used here. For those extra fun moments, confetti cannons are also welcome - we just ask that they’re used at least 10 meters away from the tipis.

Unfortunately, we do not allow fireworks. With fields of horses, cows, and sheep surrounding us, their wellbeing is our priority, and we want to ensure they aren’t startled or disturbed in their home.

We love a pop of colour too! Yes, smoke bombs are allowed, but we kindly ask that they be used responsibly and with care, making sure they're set off at least 30m away from the tipis.
